My Netroots Speech

At last, I get to see one of my speeches!!! And so do you. I hope you think I represented you all as best I could.

I dedicate this post to every last one of the thousands and thousands of Spartacii who made it possible.

I'm sorry that I can only post this link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cjQBaMDr2Y&feature=youtu.be&a

But if you click on it, it will take you to youtube.

  1. Huzzah. I'm boggled you had the energy for this (and I know you didn't really). Well done, Sue. Seriously. And well done everyone.

    1. I told her she was looking well when I first saw her and she said, "it's all make-up and willpower!".

  3. Amazing speech, it reminded me of that amazing feeling we had as at it was all happening. It still makes me weep that the Government overturned it all, but a few brief moments we won.

  4. Just watched the video - absolutely fabulous speaker you are Sue. You can't speak like that if you are spinning, fudging or telling lies! I am proud to have contributed something to the fund which enabled it all to happen.

  8. Just brilliant. While the amazing successes you describe were down to so many people, Sue you were the person who inspired and enthused and kept the spark going. Thank you.

  11. As per the last response, I choose to keep myself anonymous, mainly because I am petrified of the DWP doing me over. However, my biggest wish right now, is, to meet Sue and have a dance to the track I am listening to right now. It's such a fantastic signature anthem. And yes I am a gay man. Random, I know.

  12. Just listened to your speech Sue. Truly excellent. No politician has ever spoken with that much conviction or sincerity or enthusiasm in decades - and all within weeks of major surgery. You looked damn good too!

Made me proud too that all the AnonyMice play their small part too in whatever ways we are able. And yes, truly shocking that in Britain in 2012, people are too afraid to use their real names for fear of reprisals from our own supposedly democratic (ha!) government that they simply could not endure and survive.

Let's hope the voices grow even more quickly than in the last 2 years till the public hear us. For it is they who hold the real power, not the politicians. Politicians are expendable and replaceable, civilised society is not.

  13. Thank you Sue. I'm glad I watched this today. I've had a shit week and have been feeling dissillusioned with everything. Trying to combine campaigning, family, DLA forms, negotiating secondary school transfer for my disabled Son and wrestling with my own mental health issues. But watching that has made me realise the power of what we can achieve. Next week is a new week and hopefully I will have the energy to continue.
